National Service Scheme
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the students of Under Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities. The primary objective of NSS is to develop students’ personality and to enhance their character through voluntary community services. Further,the programmers’ sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. In India, NSS was launched on 1969. NSS focuses on comradeship, leadership qualities and selfless social service among the student communities. The Motto of NSS is ‘Not Me but You’.
NSS @ AAASC
Our college NSS unit was started in 2023 under the affiliation with Periyar university, Salem. The prime objective of the NSS is to inculcate the service mind, discipline, leadership and unity in diversity within the students. It is aimed to arouse the social consciousness of students and provide them with the opportunity to work with people around them creatively and constructively.Various NSS activities and special camp programmes are organized periodically with specific project in handwith the aid of management and adjacent villages.
