Rules and Regulations

Identity card is compulsory for getting access to the library
Strict silence should be observed in the Library
Faculties and Students must record their visit in the Gate Entry.
Library follows the Open Access System. Hence books taken out of the racks shall not be replaced.
Students should return their books in person.
Students should not mark, write and tear in books.
The student is liable for any damage of the book, hence the student should be cautious while borrowing it from the library. In case of previous damage, the same should be brought to the notice of the Librarian.
All the books must be returned on or before the due date.
Each student can borrow two books at a time for a period of 15 days. He/She is allowed to get the book renewed for a further period of 15 days provided if no other student has placed demand for the same book.
Books returned after the due date will be charged fine of Rs. 1/- per day.
Books due on a holiday can be returned on the next working day without fine.
A student who loses a book and does not replace it with a similar copy may be charged twice the cost of the book.
Bags and wearing slippers are not permitted to enter the library.
Sleeping is strictly prohibited in the library.
The periodicals and dailies should in no case be removed from the reading room and those who are responsible for any damage are liable for disciplinary actions.
Cell Phones prohibited.
